urban decay list: for beginners or new to the brand

so being the person i am, i only buy cheap or on sale makeup. which is nyc, wet n wild, coastal scents, milani, some maybelline, elf, and nyx. too faced i only use the primer, but that's around $20 but one tube has lasted for over 6 months and still going strong. companies like mac, estee lauder, and stila i just don't get, why you charge obnoxious prices? i will never use mac or estee lauder anyway since the controversy about animal testing. but urban decay falls in between obnoxious and glorious. $20 for an eyeliner is obnoxious, but some palettes are cheap on their website. this is kinda my list for beginners or people now to urban decay (i'm in this box).
  deluxe shadow box $10
you get 9 shadows, mini primer, and two of those useless spongies(i think you can use for nail art). some people would prefer the neutrals, honey, shag, underground. but peace, fishnet, ransom, graffiti are the colors of my life. it's small enough to get a feel of urban decay formula and be cheap, but also big enough to truly test it out, not a baggie sample of two scoops.
 ammo shadow box $12
you get 10 colors and that spongie. mildew, shattered, and last call look like my colors of happiness. the other colors i'll use since they have shimmer. it's also cheap and a good "taste of urban decay".
 frigid $4
i don't have anything like this color, purple with blue sheen. how i don't have this color with over 600 something colors, i know not. but this color should be all over my face, all the time. if someone is a neutral freak and traumatized by color, you can use is as a liner color. it would look nice on any eye color, especially blue/green.
Flipside  Eldorado  Lucky flipside, eldorado, lucky $9.50 each
now, $9.50 for eyeliner seems like complete crap to me, since eyeliner is included in almost anything. but all of my current eyeliners can not do a certain job, waterline color stayage. nothing stays on my watery, allergy sneezing constantly, itchy, funky eyeballs. it runs making me a color panda, and certain days i don't wanna be the color panda. so since these are water proof, maybe magic will happen and life will align and not make me color panda of the year somedays. the vintage are cheaper than the glide on ones. i picked these colors for obvious reasons. flipside-mermaid green/blue teal, color needs to be everywhere all over. eldorado-since gold makes me eyes look bigger and not zombi-fied. lucky since copper makes me eyes look bluer, and not so "i can't figure out what your eye color is" and it's cool.
you could certainly get other things, the smoked palette looks amazing, but not for $49. when urban decay has a major sale of coupon goodness, then yes, all the smokey smoked palette wonderfulness. and $20 for eyeliner only going to be used on the waterline seems like a dream, a very nice dream due to the color choices.
hopefully beginners new to urban decay don't splurge on everything and just try certain products they would use regularly. wahoo for colors :D
