elf 144 bright palette review(should actually be called a rant)

 $15
so this is the 144 bright palette. i've used this on and off for 6 months. i got this free in an elf xmas sale and i'm glad it was free. first for the pros.
PROS: does have colors, and pots are a good size to get brushes to pick up color-no struggle
now for cons.
CONS: not enough color choices for a true color lover, mostly brown, texture is very chalky, needs a base to appear as true color and to last more than 4 hours, case may seem flimsy to others.
so now that both sides are given, let's explain these. it is 144 colors, but this can be misleading. some colors may look different in the pan (aka mostly browns) and swatched, but when on the eye, they mostly look the same. they do last with primer, but they don't show up well without a base to help them. as thepinkladyj would say-a shadow should be able to stand up on it's own, not needing help. i believe this, since most of my shadows don't need a base to get true color. these shadows do, which sucks. some colors do have good pigment, but are the highlight shades. also a base is needed since these shadows are so soft and chalky. they will feel dry on your eyes without a primer, and most likely leave a powder dust party on your face afterwards. the case is plastic, but it may not feel sturdy to some. my feels sturdy, but i'm not planning on throwing it at walls or anything. and now for my main complaint: ORGANIZATION/PLACEMENT/COLOR CHOICES! in my perfect world(i can't explain how unicorns and zombies live together), a bright palette with 144 colors would be-1/3 warm colors(reds, oranges, yellows, pinks), 1/3 cool (greens, blues, indigos, purples), and 1/3 neutrals (white, grays, browns, blacks, skintones). this has no reds, not many oranges/yellows, 1/4 is cooler tones, and 1/3 is BROWN, just BROWN. WHAT THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER am i gonna do with all this brown? if i wanted brown i would get the 144 in NEUTRAL. that's 144 of BROWN. i wanted color, not browns in every color. and they're not even interesting browns, just mud, dirt, and tree brown. replace all that BROWN with some reds, pinks, some shimmer purples, something not BROWN. the angry from these browns is so great, which is why i'm not a fan of this palette. all of my coastal scents palettes don't have 1/3 brown, and even if they did, they would be different, whether in color or texture/finish.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS THING? for a beginner yeah. or if you're terrified of colors and want them sheer. for $15, i would stick with wet n wild shades at a local walmart if you like color not so sheer. sorry elf :(
