simple refreshing face wash gel review

 free sample
this was a free sample from a facebook post months ago. its a good size sample, 1.7 fl oz. i have used it about 30 times, and still have about 3-5 uses left in there. this has no smell and is a gel. this doesnt lather like other cleansers, but you still feel clean after washing. it does take off makeup, i havent used it for my eye area though. i dont necessarily feel "refreshed" after using this, but my skin does feel cleaner. it doesnt do anything for oil control.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? if you want a fragrance free, cheap cleanser then yes. i dont think im going to repurchase, since i have other cleansers to use up. it was nice while using it though.

physicians formula bb kit review

 walmart, $20

this i bought so i can get minimum coverage, yet keep oil away. the concealer is a twist up liquid, the cream is squeeze liquid, and the powder is in a compact, with a mirror on the bottom. the concealer and powder worked great in the beginning. the bb cream is a shade darker than me, which leaves a darker cast on me. its also thick, which makes it hard to blend. the concealer still works great. the powder seems to have either oxidized or something happened, since it has changed a little in color, not much. this doesnt help much with oil control, but it also doesnt cause breakouts, for me.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? if you are pale, no. this is more leaning on the medium side, not pale girl side. but $20, compared to $13, $12, $13 for all 3 separate, it is a deal. it also has spf, which every pale and not pale person needs. if you have experience with this brand before, you can try it out. if you are a lighter shade, i would keep the receipt, incase of it being too dark.

smokey palette review and compare

Smoky Palette coastal scents, $9.95 on sale

this looked like an interesting palette for colorful looks. i didnt intend to use this as a "smokey" makeup look palette. i have used 90% of the colors, all with primer. most of these shades are sheer, and need a base for maximum color. these shadows dont feel dry though. there are some repeat shades between this and the creative me 1 palette. neon bright pink=F5, bright yellow=C1, teal green=C2, electric blue=C6, deep grape=E3, magenta=E6.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? if you dont already have the creative me 1 palette, yes. if you already do and you like those colors, then yes. if you werent a fan of matte neons, then you would have to decide on whether or not you would use the other colors. if youre more of a neutral person, 90% no. i would try to get it on sale, maybe summer or xmas.

older/replaced makeup

these makeup things have been with me a while and most have been replaced with something else. these i plan on using over a period of time, not part of the makeup ban. most of these wont be repurchased after being used.

maybelline color tattoos:

these have been replaced by my nyx pencils, so they will used used and not repurchased.

sally girl singles:

these i didnt find as pigmented and i dont really use sheer shadows.

sally girl baked:

these i wanted to use as wet shadows, but my loose pigments have replaced these.

sleek palette:

this i will repurchase after the neon colors are gone, but i want to finish the non neon colors.

wet n wild pencils;

these replaced by nyx.

old singles:

maybe had these over 8 years. these were my go to colors for a while.

nyc palettes:
the concealer and glittery cream arent that great. my ht travel palettes replaced these.

concrete minerals zombie review/swatch

 the vaccine, blood and guts
 graveyard, nightmare
 living dead, quarantine

no primer swatch. on eyes-primer/nyx milk. the vaccine does have a steel gray/blue shift to it. blood and guts blue shift didnt show up that well on the eye, still pretty. graveyard has a purple undertone to it, making it awesome. nightmare is like a purple with fire inside, having orange glitter in it. the glitter does stay throughout the day. living dead is a nice moss green. quarantine is a nice pink with a lavender undertone.

all colors lasted through the day and little fallout happened when applying. i like the sifters on the jars, so you can control how much product you pick up.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? for almost $40, it seems like a lot. but the jars are a good size and the tins pretty handy. the samples are a good size too. it's pretty fast shipping, so i'll definitely be ordering from them again.

concrete minerals zombies

this was purchased before the makeup ban of mine. this shipped surprisingly well from cali. this was around $40, including shipping. they also hand wrote a thank you on the invoice.
 advertisement card
 instructions
 another card
 pretty sticker
2 good sized samples, ruse (caramel gold) and kinky (blackened blue)

excuse the grainy-ness, this is what the tin was packaged like, a black cord and plastic clear box.
 front of the tin
how the inside packaging was, little black "worms" held the shadows in place
each shadow had a safety seal on it. living dead and quarantine
 nightmare and graveyard
blood and guts and the vaccine

i have since them taken the safety seals off and unbagged the samples into jars. the tin i plan on using for another purpose, while the plastic box holds yet to be used/tested loose shadows.

another purchase from etsy

this is another purchase from theartofdecay, since she hosted a 20% off flash sale later last week. the shipping was still awesome and i was even offered a discount code for free shipping on my next order :D. now for the goodies

tiny rodent bone vial earrings  $14
antique denture teeth and cross earrings $17

i'm not even sure what these are called, but i saved them for years. these i use to keep the earrings in my ears so they dont fall out. i use these for most of my other earrings. i'm going to use these on both pairs, since i dont want to lose or damage these. there will be another review on the wear/strength of these.
*these were bought with tip money that i get at my school for doing hair, these are not free, i doubt she knows that i write reviews of these.*

review of chokers, etsy artofdecay

these came from a lovely lady named victoria on etsy. she has a youtube channel, which is one of my favs, for beauty videos. she is as lovely on youtube as on etsy.

these are from my first order, which is a rodent jaw choker and kitty claw custom choker. these are a good quality and after a week of wear, these are holding up great. two things that may concern people:
the clasp is painted black, which may wear off slowly. mine hasn't chipped yet, but if it does, i'm not concerned about it.
the choker is big on me, hanging down near my clavicle bones, instead of in the middle of my neck. this doesn't bother me, since i am a tiny person. i'm not sure how others would feel about it.

these did cost more than normal jewelery, $28 each. but these are hand made, and recycled bones, which means no animal died to be a fashion statement. they died naturally, or as natural as road kill can be. if the price does concern you, she does have flash sales, most recently a 20% off one, which i'll talk about later this week. you can also order custom pieces, which are pretty reasonable for pricing.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? if you like bones and unique jewelry, DO IT. these are better quality then "cheap mall jewelry", which means it will last way longer. all who enjoy creepy and macabre things should check this store out.

look i posted a link, so rare:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheArtOfDecay?page=1

*these were bought with my own money, blah, blah, blah. no one sent me these, blah, blah, blah. all opinions are my own, blah. i'm not being paid for this, blah. (stuff you already know from me :D)*

current face routine? as of now

my current face routine has expanded to keep the oil and shininess off of my face. so here's what i use in this moment:

1-moisturize with aveeno daily moisturizing lotion
it's light enough and sinks in quickly, and doesnt feel oily
i use a pea sized amount for forehead, same amount for both cheeks, and same amount for chin and nose, 4 total amounts

2-while thats sinking in, i do my eyes (primer, shadow, mascara, waterline)
3-nyx primer in clear
this gives a matte finish and makes everything stay longer, let dry
4-elf tone correcting powder (read ban post, that should update you guys)
for anything that needs covering
5-elf makeup mist and set
4 sprays, 1 each face quadrant, and that takes care of the powder look, then all done

concealer, if needed, would go on after primer/before powder. i dont tend to conceal zits, since it looks weird having a bump there. this usually takes me 5-10 mins, depending on eye looks.

no buy makeup ban?

theres been a lot of going around about no makeup shopping ban, project 10 pan, and shopping your stash. ive been thinking about it since i have so many shadows and its growing. and i recently ordered the cm zombie palette, doesnt help. so ive make it my own stash ban:
try to use the elf powders (2)
try to use the phys form bb cream
try to finish the wnw and falsies mascaras
try to use the blhe black liner half way
try to use 3 shadows half way from warm, original, mirage, smokey
use panther half way

so whens those are half/all used, i was going to reward with a sephora purchase. i have yet to go and visit, since i dont go to the mall often. ive been eyeing the kat von d butterfly palettes and also some gift sets there. :)

im hoping to use most of my pressed shadows in palettes about half way by dec. the loose ones are going to take a while since they are FULL.

during this i cant use my brulee, sugarpill, or tone correcting powder. i have hit pan on the powder and made a good dent in brulee. so i will see how the other products compare to these and review them. lets see how this ban goes :D

first etsy purchase

this is from a store called the art of decay, from biohazardousbeauty on youtube. one of these was an item she previously made, the other i custom ordered.

 card from her store
handle with care instructions aka dont break the stuff that i spent good time making
lovely hand written note from her
box that each item came in
 rodent jaw choker
custom order kitty claw choker

i did want these in both the same style, since i have not so much of a collection of chokers. she is a lovely person and answers all questions in a fast manner. shipping took less than a week, but we live in the same state, so other shipping might be slower. i had thought these were smaller and would fit at around the middle of my neck area. but i am a very tiny person so they hang at the bottom, not by much. this isnt going to bother me, i dont know how other people would feel about this. i would love to order from her again and probably will. both necklaces were $28 each, $3 shipping, but it's worth it since you get an animal bone thats clean and naturally dead.

later review on the wear of these and if they can survive school.
