cvs haul, super short

so to avoid a wasted coupon and sale, i was in the spoiled section. cvs is having a buy 2, get 3rd free sale on spoiled polishes, but sadly snowglobe wasnt there.

i have no reception-sheer silver glitter
im so jaded- i had this color, but it was sadly broken when my polishes were being moved.
i only eat salads-this doesn't seem like a normal color but i already have 90% of the colors they offer, except the pinks, which isn't my fav color. it looks zombie-ish green, which is nice :D

so the total-3x polishes + $2 off coupon=$2.10, pretty good sale

haul from today for needed/not needed stuff

i needed more lash glue, since my other one separated and it's being funky. and this happened.
first walmart
 duo glue $5
i like the clear since i use it for stones and it doesnt show
these are some stones i found, that are supposed to be for nail art, but i wont use them that way. it has black stars :), the hearts are ok $4
now there is warning when opening this, it will fly everywhere since this is not the best container. i scooped them all out and put them back in one box. theres a lot of static so it can be a pain getting them out.
finally i needed some thermal pouches for my curling iron and flat iron. this will help not melt any of my kit. $6 each

i went to ross, which i found out isnt a bad place for things.

 snake print teal/blue scarf
this is huge which i can use it as a cool neck accessory or when you put rollers in wet hair, it can act as a headscarf. $6
smallish skull backpack
i've been looking for a smaller backpack so i can fit and find stuff without tearing everything out. i think this will work nice and it was on clearance. $5

final place sally's

orly ingenue- this is a pretty steampunkish color. $5
china glaze rare and radiant- i like the green/teal/blue shift $5
orly fifty-four- i think this would look amazing over black. $5
orly fowl play- this is what i originally went for since i like dark colors with multi glitter. $5
china glaze graffiti glitter- i thought this would be pretty over black too and i like the green/black glitter combo. $3

cs brush review, 1 month later

so its been a month and thats a good time to know of a brush works and stays in good shape. that means is review time. the random brushes will be in another post.

Elite Blush Set Beige

Elite Flat Buffer- i used this to smooth/blend out my bb cream, it worked fine.
Elite Tapered Powder- didnt use
Elite Powder- didnt use
Elite Angled Blush-this is what i mostly use for my powder. i can get powder in the sides of my nose and temple areas with no problem.
Elite Flat Multipurpose- didnt use
Elite Foundation- didnt use
Elite Large Shadow- good for blending out crease/highlight
Elite Pointed Precision-also good for blending out crease/highlight
Elite Doefoot Blender-good for getting a blended crease without extra blending
Elite Fan- didnt use
Elite Flat Tipped Shadow-also good for crease blending
Elite Dome Shadow-good for crease/outer color
Elite Pointed Blender-also good for crease/outer color
Elite Blender-good for blending crease/outer
Elite Concealer-good for loose/wet pigments
Elite Angled Shadow-good for outer v/crease color
Elite Flat Liner-good for undereye color
Elite Brow-good for undereye/inner corner color
Elite Detail Pointed-good for inner corner color
Elite Small Shadow-good for lid/small spaces of color
Elite Fine Liner-didnt use
Elite Liner-good for undereye color
Elite Detail Mini-good for waterline/small spaces of color
Elite Angled Liner-didnt use

these are so soft and didnt shed even after washing. the handles feel nice and secure. these are prone to staining if not washing enough or properly. i used baby shampoo and 1-2 scrubs gets everything out.

WOULD I RECOMMEND? if you use multiple brushes daily, can slightly keep up with cleaning, and can afford these, then yeah. i can understand that spending $70 on a brush set isn't in everyone dreams. that's why i waited when these were on sale. these are good brushes to have if you like makeup a lot and use it often. i dont use the face brushes as often, but the other brushes are wonderful and it's nice having them.

cs brush review, random brushes

these are the random brushes, 1 month later.

pro fluff-good for blending out crease and within crease

concealer small-good for using loose/wet pigments for patting on eye

pointed blender-good for blending and undereye color

detail mini-inner corner and waterline color

detail pointed-inner corner or undereye

these dont feel scratchy and wash nicely. they didnt shed or lose shape. the pro fluff one was sent to me out of shape, but it works fine. if it bothers you, a brush guard might help. product comes off easy when washing and they didnt stain.

WOULD I RECOMMEND? they're a little more than elf brushes, but they are good brushes and can last a long time. and they're synthetic so no animals were harmed.

small haul, aka retail therapy

so after having a crappy day at school with rude clients, whats better than going to sally's for discounted stuff? :D

total was about $15 for 5 bottles of polish. for $3/bottle for higher end polish, this sounds awesome.

orly intergalactic space- so this one i put in another post as one that i would be getting.

china glaze deviantly daring- i wanted to try china glaze for a while but $6 seemed steep. but sally's has 20% and $1 for china glaze. so around $3 sounds great. i liked the blue/green shift, which i dont have in any other colors.

this seems to be from xmas, hint from the names.
mingle with kringle-not much for gold but i could layer it.
bells will be blinging- this was available as a lone bottle, in the discount bin. but it's cheaper this way and i like thats holo with different shapes/colors of glitter.
so blue without you- this is a pretty sparkly blue, looks like it might have some silver glitter? the whole set was $4.99

i'm still checking out some orly colors like ingenue and fantasea. i like the darker polishes too, which is handy for hiding dye stains.

haul from sallys sale

so i went to sallys for 2-3 things and some more things caught my eye.

main reason- orly goth

biohazard showed this in her review for omg nails trips and i do have black glitter polish, but not silver fine glitter only.

other reason- orly androgynie

i cant help my self with blacks and multicolored glitter. there are a few more colors that seem like good colors for my collection. also orly polishes are on sale for $5.50.

other random things- orly galaxy polishes
 black hole
gravity bound

these were 2 for $11, but theres another that i want to get. i didnt pick it up then because the swatches they had looked sad, but i looked at the swatches from other bloggers and intergalactic space looks pretty.

nail file- this i like since its a bigger filing surface and i prefer crystal/glass to emory, which makes my nails peel and flake. i think pinkladyj also had one of these. $3.99

tattoo love cape- this is for school. and they only gave us 2 capes, which is handy when youre doing 3 clients :). it was on sale for 5.99 and so was the apron. i think after i graduate i might get the apron, since its so pretty. i can't show you an actual picture, since it's in my kit, in my car. it was very useful saturday and the older ladies did enjoy it.
Betty Dain Tough Love Shampoo Cape

the one thing i bought from the clearance bins was a treasure i was shocked to find. orly so go diva, HALLOWEEN IN A BOTTLE.
orange glitter in a slightly black base. the website says chocolate brown, but these look dark orange. it was supposed to be 5.99, but all red tags were 50% red tag price. :D i like seeing halloween all year round.

short review, nyx pencil milk

JUMBO EYE PENCIL nyx pencil in milk $4-5, ulta

this i bought for a certain purpose, sp and cs shadows, loose. sp shadows work well with milk, and cs shadows need a sticky base. these work with pressed, but loose shadows need a little staying help in order to stay on your eye. this helps a lot and makes shadow colors much brighter. and i haven't had to sharpen it yet, and i've used it at least 20+ times.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? if you need a sticky base, this is going to work great. i would still use a primer. it works for making colors brighter and making loose shadows stay. this is a good base for eye shadow looks.

short review again, rimmel eye pencils

 rimmel pencils, $3-4, walmart
the white one from the soft kohl line is also in this

i have the light blue, black, nude, and white. i did get these for one purpose, waterline. the other liners i have either dont last more than an hour or they don't even show up. these work well, over 4-6 hours. the white and light blue i use with sp shadows for colors, nude for wnw brulee, black for wnw panther. these are good for $3-4 and doesnt bother my eyes. these dont skip or tug at your eye, theyre creamy.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? if you want waterline color, these are good. non bothering, staying power, and cheap. everyone raves of the urban decay pencils, but those are $19. these are good for use without spending a lot. i probably will be getting more of these.
