makeup i regret getting

saw vintageortacky do this and she's right about how some makeup just sucks or it's your type. i only have a few products, if i don't like something i return it.

nyc makeup palettes-these don't have the pigmentation like my other shadows do and they are heavy with fall out. plus the shadows get into the creams, which makes them messy and not usable.

makeup forever mascara/lipstick-this was a birthday gift from sephora. i know i didn't pay for this, but i expect more from sephora. i mean more shades and maybe another mascara choice. the mascara brush was difficult and the lipstick isn't really my color. i know it was free, but i still regret picking it up.

elf liners-these didn't really stay on my eyes or waterline. primer and setting it didn't help. i gave them away, since they were barely used.

hard candy liners-these were the same as the elf liners. the packaging was also awful on these. gave these away too.

sally girl glitter-i thought these were cosmetic grade, but they are giant sharp pieces of glitter. these didn't really stick that well to the eye either.

sally girl eye shadows-these are only pigmented when used wet. when used dry, they don't show up at all.

elf 12 piece brush set-the face brushes in this are scratchy and don't work as well as my other face brushes. the bristles are also shaped weirdly.

fyrinnae pixie epoxy review

fyrinnae pixie epoxy, $7, fyrinnae.com

this stuff must be made of magic and kitten/dragon dreams. it helps shimmer shadows stay on all day, without having glitter/shimmer on your face. it's a clear plasma (cross between a liquid and solid) substance that you put on your eyes and then put shimmery shadows on top and it makes it stay there. it's supposed to be comparable to the glamourdolleyes glitter fix. i used this with the sparklebaby palette and 3/4 shades work great. this stuff doesn't work on matte shades though. any shadow with glitter/shimmer works fine. i love how i can get shimmer/glitter to last all day now and i don't look ready to disco.

steps on how this works: 1. apply eye primer 2. apply a small amount of pixie epoxy to lid (i usually swipe a bit from the doefoot) 3. work product over lid until tacky (to wear you can lift your eyelid slightly from touching it) 4. apply shimmer/glitter shadow on in patting motion

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? if you wear a lot of shimmer shadows, then this stuff can work magic if you use the right amount. if you tend to wear mostly mattes, this might not be for you. this also might not be available at all times, so check the website. i like the doefoot since it makes product easy to get out of the tube and you can get a small amount of it. if you want to try it, they have sample sizes for $2-3.

i feel like i haven't been on here in forever and a half

there's lots of reasons for that-mostly work. i have a few reviews set up and a haul. i guess we can have a chat here while i wait for things to finish shipping and stuff.

i already have a list of stuff i want at my job. panda fleece blanket, heart nail polish for mom, and revlon kajal liners. these are the yellow and sky blue liners which i have rarely heard of and haven't seen before in a store. from the package the colors look similar to the yellow and mint liners from stila. i price checked the revlon-8.99, stila-20. now i know 20 for an eyeliner is steep for most people. the urban decay ones aren't cheap, but they are so good and wonderful! i haven't tried anything from stila yet and i don't really have any makeup by revlon. i'm also hesitant about getting the revlon since my store's return policy isn't the greatest. i have swatched both of the stila colors and they were really smooth.

i think winter is great for finding nice warm blankets. that panda blanket is calling my name. they didn't have it one day and i felt so sad since panda's are so cute. they have it back, and i check everyday i'm there to see if it is there.

the makeup section at work isn't bad. they have a nice wet n wild section, milani, maybelline, covergirl, jordana and revlon. they have some elf, not much. it's pretty nice to spend 10 mins before work starts browsing makeup.

i also hate how winter makes my makeup and skin dry. i've never had a problem with my bb creams, but now it's making me look dry and settling into my mouth "lines" (i don't have any, i'm 23 but it's making me look like i have them). i also can't wear my blush since it makes my skin look even drier. my skin feels fine, it's just my makeup doesn't kike cold dry air. i've been looking at other bb creams to try, after my other 2 run out.

speaking of winter, i'm really digging batman fleece pants and hoodie wearing. it's nice for staying inside and napping on days off.

i'm still waiting on my hot topic order, i have another coupon with them and 2 for bath and body works. i used my 20% off ulta one the day it came out. it's funny that my ulta order i received first, which was ordered way after my hot topic one.

hopefully i can get some stuff up tomorrow with being disturbed.
