haul from today for needed/not needed stuff

i needed more lash glue, since my other one separated and it's being funky. and this happened.
first walmart
 duo glue $5
i like the clear since i use it for stones and it doesnt show
these are some stones i found, that are supposed to be for nail art, but i wont use them that way. it has black stars :), the hearts are ok $4
now there is warning when opening this, it will fly everywhere since this is not the best container. i scooped them all out and put them back in one box. theres a lot of static so it can be a pain getting them out.
finally i needed some thermal pouches for my curling iron and flat iron. this will help not melt any of my kit. $6 each

i went to ross, which i found out isnt a bad place for things.

 snake print teal/blue scarf
this is huge which i can use it as a cool neck accessory or when you put rollers in wet hair, it can act as a headscarf. $6
smallish skull backpack
i've been looking for a smaller backpack so i can fit and find stuff without tearing everything out. i think this will work nice and it was on clearance. $5

final place sally's

orly ingenue- this is a pretty steampunkish color. $5
china glaze rare and radiant- i like the green/teal/blue shift $5
orly fifty-four- i think this would look amazing over black. $5
orly fowl play- this is what i originally went for since i like dark colors with multi glitter. $5
china glaze graffiti glitter- i thought this would be pretty over black too and i like the green/black glitter combo. $3

cs brush review, 1 month later

so its been a month and thats a good time to know of a brush works and stays in good shape. that means is review time. the random brushes will be in another post.

Elite Blush Set Beige

Elite Flat Buffer- i used this to smooth/blend out my bb cream, it worked fine.
Elite Tapered Powder- didnt use
Elite Powder- didnt use
Elite Angled Blush-this is what i mostly use for my powder. i can get powder in the sides of my nose and temple areas with no problem.

Elite Pointed Precision-also good for blending out crease/highlight
Elite Doefoot Blender-good for getting a blended crease without extra blending
Elite Fan- didnt use
Elite Flat Tipped Shadow-also good for crease blending
Elite Dome Shadow-good for crease/outer color
Elite Pointed Blender-also good for crease/outer color
Elite Blender-good for blending crease/outer
Elite Concealer-good for loose/wet pigments
Elite Angled Shadow-good for outer v/crease color
Elite Flat Liner-good for undereye color
Elite Brow-good for undereye/inner corner color
Elite Detail Pointed-good for inner corner color
Elite Small Shadow-good for lid/small spaces of color
Elite Fine Liner-didnt use
Elite Liner-good for undereye color
Elite Detail Mini-good for waterline/small spaces of color
Elite Angled Liner-didnt use

these are so soft and didnt shed even after washing. the handles feel nice and secure. these are prone to staining if not washing enough or properly. i used baby shampoo and 1-2 scrubs gets everything out.

WOULD I RECOMMEND? if you use multiple brushes daily, can slightly keep up with cleaning, and can afford these, then yeah. i can understand that spending $70 on a brush set isn't in everyone dreams. that's why i waited when these were on sale. these are good brushes to have if you like makeup a lot and use it often. i dont use the face brushes as often, but the other brushes are wonderful and it's nice having them.

cs brush review, random brushes

these are the random brushes, 1 month later.

pro fluff-good for blending out crease and within crease

concealer small-good for using loose/wet pigments for patting on eye

pointed blender-good for blending and undereye color

detail mini-inner corner and waterline color

detail pointed-inner corner or undereye

these dont feel scratchy and wash nicely. they didnt shed or lose shape. the pro fluff one was sent to me out of shape, but it works fine. if it bothers you, a brush guard might help. product comes off easy when washing and they didnt stain.

WOULD I RECOMMEND? they're a little more than elf brushes, but they are good brushes and can last a long time. and they're synthetic so no animals were harmed.

small haul, aka retail therapy

so after having a crappy day at school with rude clients, whats better than going to sally's for discounted stuff? :D

total was about $15 for 5 bottles of polish. for $3/bottle for higher end polish, this sounds awesome.

orly intergalactic space- so this one i put in another post as one that i would be getting.

china glaze deviantly daring- i wanted to try china glaze for a while but $6 seemed steep. but sally's has 20% and $1 for china glaze. so around $3 sounds great. i liked the blue/green shift, which i dont have in any other colors.

this seems to be from xmas, hint from the names.
mingle with kringle-not much for gold but i could layer it.
bells will be blinging- this was available as a lone bottle, in the discount bin. but it's cheaper this way and i like thats holo with different shapes/colors of glitter.
so blue without you- this is a pretty sparkly blue, looks like it might have some silver glitter? the whole set was $4.99

i'm still checking out some orly colors like ingenue and fantasea. i like the darker polishes too, which is handy for hiding dye stains.
